Based in the beautiful Sussex countryside Ruby Bose creates striking handmade ready to wear hats headpieces and bridal accessories, with a bespoke service for those one-off pieces for Royal Ascot or your special occasion.  

Creative Director Paula Downes gained a degree in fashion textiles in 2002, and began selling silk fabrics to couture houses across the world for many years, after which she developed a career working in the millinery industry and so discovered her love for hats. Having always wanted to run her own business, took the opportunity at the beginning of 2016 and launched Ruby Bose (named after her grandmother), making handmade bridal accessories, fascinators, hats and headpieces.

With the emphasis on using traditional blocking methods to support the UK millinery industry, high quality components and experimenting with new and innovative techniques, all contributing to the quality and craftsmanship of each piece.
